427 Ford Cobra Engine

We build the 427 Ford Cobra type engine from 600 hp to
760 hp that run on pump gas.

We also build the 427 Ford Cobra engine with a Eight Stack
Classic Fuel Injection system. 

This fuel injection system offers the drivability, crisp throttle
response, and fuel economy in line with a 48mm downdraft
set-up. The system also offers significantly more flow than the
original carburetors. Eight Stack CFI throttle bodies out-flow a
typical 48mm downdraft carburetor by nearly 90 cfm per
runner, for a total system enhancement of almost 720 cfm.
Total system airflow is nearly 3,000 cfm, which is why the
CFI system will support engines exceeding 750 hp.

Here is what Robert Pond Motorsports provides “standard”
in its crate engine:

• New 427 Ford Cobra FE type engine blocks are
  genuine Robert Pond Motorsports blocks.
  Blocks are aluminum and can be bored and
  stroked to displace over 500 cubic inches.
  RPM blocks come with billet steel main caps
  and ARP stud kits for the mains.

• Engines are prerun and broken in on the dyno
  and checked for power output. Customer
  receives dyno sheets.

• Engines are checked for oil leaks.

• Entire rotation is assembly balanced.

• 427 aluminum heads are fully ported, stage 2,
  including intake exhaust and chamber.

• New 4-1/4 stroke crankshaft

• Holly carburetor, dyno tuned to engine

• T&D rocker on assembly

• Over 600+ flywheel, 600 torque

• New H-beam rods with ARP bolts

• New pistons with premium rings and wrist pins

• Heavy-duty oil pump drive

• New Canton oil pan

• New distributor with steel gears and new wires
